Scholarship aligns with the church's mission to “make disciples of all nations.” However, there is confusion about how disciples are made...

we're confusing strengthening disciples with making disciples. These are two completely different things, and the church needs to do both. But somewhere along the way, we've blended them together, and that confusion is costing us.

So to summarize: John 6:44 does not teach irresistible grace or unconditional election. It teaches—with continuity throughout scripture—that whosoever looks upon the Son and believes in His name, God the Father takes out of Adam and puts into Christ, just like a fisherman draws fish out of the water.
